Festive Fruit Salad
Festive Fruit Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, 1/2 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. flour, 1 egg, lightly beaten and 2 (11 oz. each) cans mandarin oranges, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
Set pineapple aside.
Pour juice into a small saucepan.
Add sugar and flour.
Bring to a boil.
Quickly stir in egg; cook until thickened.
Remove from heat; cool.
Refrigerate.
In a large bowl, combine pineapple, oranges, pears, apples, kiwi and nuts.
Pour dressing over and blend well.
Cover and chill for 1 hour.
