Far East Celery Casserole * is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. sliced celery, 1 small can water chestnuts, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 small jar pimiento, diced and 1 stick melted margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook celery in small amount of water for 5 minutes.
Drain. Add water chestnuts (drained and sliced), soup and pimiento.
Pour into 1-quart greased casserole and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to bake, top with melted margarine, bread crumbs and toasted almonds mixed together.
Bake 35 minutes at 350Β°.
Serves 6 to 8.
