Fantail Bread
Fantail Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 10 tbsp. sugar (slight 2/3 c.), 1/2 c. mazola oil, 2 tsp. salt, 2 c. milk and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix sugar, Mazola oil and salt well.
Scald milk and water; cool 5 to 10 minutes.
Sprinkle yeast in and stir to dissolve. Mix with sugar, oil and salt; stir well (it is easier to sift yeast in with the flour).
Add flour (pretty stiff).
Let rise until double in bulk, turn out on floured board and knead.
Have 3 pans greased.
Divide dough in 3 equal portions, then divide into 10 pieces and stack in pan.
Set in a warm place and let rise until double in bulk.
