Made with 1 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, divided, 2 lb. ground beef, 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes and 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute onion and green pepper in 2 tablespoons of oil until soft.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil and ground beef.
Cook slowly until lightly browned, using Dutch oven.

Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
