Elizabeth's Fudge
Elizabeth'S Fudge is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with c. butter or real butter, c. sugar, (7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream, (12 oz.) can evaporated milk and (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt butter in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Stir in milk and sugar.
Bring to a full, rolling boil, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches the medium soft ball stage.
Once this temperature is reached, maintain boiling for a minimum of 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add chocolate and stir until chocolate melts.
Add marshmallow cream and stir until blended. Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Cool at room temperature. Cut into squares.
Yields 3 pounds.
