Eggless-Milkless-Butterless Cake
Eggless-Milkless-Butterless Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. raisins, 1 c. granulated sugar, 3/4 c. packed brown sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 3 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix together raisins, sugars, salt, water, oil, cinnamon, ginger and allspice in saucepan; bring to a boil and cook at a rolling boil about 5 minutes; cool to lukewarm.
Add baking soda; mix well.
Sift flour with baking powder.
Add flour and nuts to raisin mixture.
Stir until smooth.
Put batter in greased and floured pan (9 x 13-inches) in preheated 350Β° oven and bake about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve when cool; uniced.
