Drunken Chicken
Drunken Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 chicken fryer, cut up or pheasant, oil for frying, 1 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix flour with spices, roll chicken in seasoned flour and brown chicken in hot oil.
Add onions and mushrooms.
Cover with 2 cans beer, lower heat and simmer for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, until chicken is tender.
Remove chicken.
Thicken liquid with 1 to 2 tablespoons cornstarch in 1/2 cup water.
(Add more water, if needed, during cooking chicken.)
Serve over rice or with mashed potatoes.
