Cuban Chickpeas And Chorizo (Portuguese Sausage) is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. olive oil, 1 large onion, chopped, 2 to 3 garlic cloves, 1 small green pepper, chopped and 1 can kitchen-ready tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In large skillet, over low heat, heat the oil.
Then add the onion, pepper and garlic, stirring until tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Add the tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano, basil, cumin and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook until heated through.
Add the chickpeas, chorizo and ham.
Reduce heat to low and cook 1 hour.
