Crunchies
Crunchies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. (1 stick) parkay margarine, 3/4 c. packed brown sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Lightly grease cookie sheets with shortening.
Cream margarine and sugar in large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Blend in egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small mixing bowl; mix well.
Add to large mixing bowl and mix well.
Stir in cereal.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Using pancake turner, place cookies on wire cooling rack.
Cool cookies completely before starting, so they will stay crisp.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
