Mix flour and shortening. Add salt, sugar and lemon. Add eggs last. Save egg whites to brush on top of unbaked cookies.
Mix together well.
Roll out to cut into cookies.
Brush on egg whites and sugar/walnut garnish or any sprinkle of your choice to the top of the cookies. Bake in a 375Β° oven until light brown, 10 minutes maximum.
