Creole Style Green Beans
Creole Style Green Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bacon, diced, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, 2 tbsp. flour and 2 tbsp. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cook bacon until crisp.
Remove bacon.
Into remaining bacon fat in pan, add onion and green pepper and cook until tender. Blend in flour, sugar, Worcestershire, salt and pepper and the mustard.
Add the tomatoes.
Cook, stirring unti thickened.
Add the green beans and heat well.
To serve add the beans with the bacon.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
