Cream Pie

Mix flour, sugar and salt; gradually add scalded milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Cook 2 minutes; remove from heat.
Add small amount to egg yolks; stir into remaining hot mixture.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add butter and vanilla and cool slightly.
Pour into pie shell.
Cover with meringue made of egg whites and sugar. Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
