Cranberry Fruit Nut Bread
Cranberry Fruit Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Stir in orange juice and orange peel, shortening and egg to dry ingredients.
Mix until well blended.
Stir in cranberries and chopped nuts.
Turn into a two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans, greased on bottom only.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool thoroughly before cutting.
Makes two loaves.
