Corn-Bacon Bake
Corn-Bacon Bake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 slices bacon, 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cook bacon until crisp; drain, reserving 3 tablespoons drippings.
Crumble bacon finely; set aside.
Stir together flour, sugar, soda and salt.
Stir in corn meal; add buttermilk and reserved drippings and bacon.
Mix well; pour into well greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Bake at 350Β° until top is golden brown. Cool; invert.
Cut into thin slices.
Makes 1 loaf.
