Condensed Milk Custard(Flan De Leche Condensada) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar (to caramelize pan), 8 eggs (yolks and whites blended), 2 (14 oz.) cans condensed milk (undiluted), 3 1/2 c. water and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Caramelize a round 8 x 3-inch aluminum pan without tube by melting 1 cup sugar slowly in the pan to a light gold.
Swirl the pan to coat bottom and sides with caramel. Set on wire rack.
In a saucepan, mix gradually the remaining ingredients; strain.
Pour mixture into the caramelized pan. Place pan over a vessel containing about 1 inch of hot water; bake for about 1 hour, or until set and golden.
Allow to cool on wire rack.
Cover; set in refrigerator.
When ready to serve, turn custard onto a platter.
