Coconut Pound Cake
Coconut Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. crisco, 2 sticks butter or margarine, 6 eggs and 3 1/2 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream sugar, Crisco and butter or margarine until light and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat well after each addition. Combine plain flour, baking powder and salt.
Add about 1/4 of flour and 1/4 of milk until all is used, beating well on low speed after each addition.
Add flavorings and coconut.
Bake in tube pan sprayed with Pam at 300° to 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
