Chocolate Truffles
Chocolate Truffles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 bars baker's semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 6 tbsp. whipping cream, 1 egg yolk, beaten and 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In heavy 2-quart saucepan, combine Baker's chocolate, butter or margarine and 3 tablespoons of whipping cream.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted (about 10 minutes).
Remove saucepan from heat and gradually stir about 1/2 of the hot mixture into beaten egg yolk.
Return egg mixture to saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened (about 2 minutes).
Remove saucepan from heat; stir in 3 tablespoons whipping cream.
Pour mixture into small bowl and chill about 1 hour, until mixture is completely cool and smooth, stirring occasionally.
