Chiles Rellenos Casserole
Chiles Rellenos Casserole is an impressive dinner. Made with 6 slices bread, crusts removed, butter or margarine, 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese, 2 c. shredded monterey jack cheese and 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chiles (i use more), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Spread bread with butter.
Place buttered side down in 13 x 9-inch pan.
Top with 2 cheeses and sprinkle with chiles.
Beat eggs until frothy.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour over casserole.
Cover and chill overnight or at least 4 hours. Uncover and bake at 325Β° for 50 to 55 minutes or until lightly browned.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
