Chicken-Liver Spread
Chicken-Liver Spread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. chicken livers, salt, 1 medium onion, minced, 1/2 c. tomato juice and 1 hard-cooked egg, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Put chicken livers in saucepan and cover with cold water.
Add 1/4 teaspoon salt, bring to boil and simmer 4 to 5 minutes.
Drain and chop fine.
Simmer onion in the tomato juice for 15 minutes. Mix livers, onion and remaining ingredients and whirl in blender until smooth.
Pack in bowl and chill.
Makes 1 1/2 cups, 18 calories per tablespoon.
