Chicken Creole
Chicken Creole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. shortening (crisco), 1 tbsp. flour, 2 small onions, chopped, garlic (optional) and 1 medium green pepper, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Place shortening, flour, onions, green pepper and parsley in large skillet.
Cook until onions are brown; add tomatoes, chopped celery, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
Add cooked chicken and cover; cook slowly for 1 hour.
One half hour before done, add Worcestershire sauce.
Serve over cooked rice and sprinkle with chow mein noodles or serve separately.
