Cheesy Onion Casserole
Cheesy Onion Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. butter or margarine, 3 large sweet white onions, sliced, 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese, pepper to taste and 1 can cream of chicken soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In skillet, melt butter.
Saute onions until clear and slightly brown.
Layer onions, 2/3 of cheese and the pepper in a 2-quart casserole.
In a saucepan, heat soup, milk and soy sauce. Pour soup mixture into casserole and stir gently.
Top with bread slices.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes.
Push bread down under sauce; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes more. Good served as beef or pork side dish.
