Cheese Soufflé
Cheese Soufflé is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. scalded milk, 4 slices of white bread made into crumbs (soft crumbs), 8 oz. shredded cheese, 2 tbsp. butter and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix scalded milk, soft bread crumbs, cheese, butter and salt in mixing bowl.
Beat egg yolks until lemon colored; add the first mixture; fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into battered baking dish.
Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until set.
Makes 4 servings.
It's great with muffins for a meal.
