Cheese Grits Casserole
Cheese Grits Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. hominy grits (do not use quick cooking), 6 c. boiling water, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 6 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, thinly sliced and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In heavy saucepan, stir grits slowly into boiling water.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow grits to cool.
Mix well with beaten eggs.
In greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish, alternate layers of grits and cheese.
Pour milk over top.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and paprika.
Bake in preheated oven at 325Β° for about 30 minutes.
Serves 6.
