Cheese-Garlic Biscuits
Cheese-Garlic Biscuits is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. biscuit baking mix, 2/3 c. milk, 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz.), 1/4 c. margarine or butter, melted and 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in large bowl with electric mixer.
Stir well.
Heat milk and margarine until very warm, 120° to 130°.
Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl, 2 minutes.
Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour.
Beat at moderate speed, scraping sides of bowl, 2 minutes.
With spoon, stir in remaining flour to make soft dough. Batter will be thick, but not stiff.
Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
Stir down and spoon into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Cover and let rise 45 minutes or until doubled. Bake at 350° to 400° for about 30 minutes.
