Cheese Bread
Cheese Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/2 c. scalded milk, cooled to lukewarm, 3 c. flour, 1 tsp. sugar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Soften the yeast in milk.
Mix together the flour, sugar and salt.
Combine the potatoes, melted butter, cheese and eggs in a large bowl.
Beat until well blended and add the yeast mixture and dry ingredients.
Knead on floured board 5 to 8 minutes.
Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Punch down and knead again for 2 minutes. Shape into a long roll and place in a well-greased angel food cake pan, pinching ends of dough together.
Cover and let rise again for 1 hour.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 to 35 minutes.
Cool in pan about 10 minutes.
Turn out onto foil; brush with butter for soft crust.
