Carp-a-La-Shingle
Carp-A-La-Shingle is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 36 minutes. Made with (3 to 5 lb.) fresh water carp, butter, c. cooking wine and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Clean and scale carp.
Melt butter; mix with wine. Place fish with butter/wine sauce into aluminum foil, wrapping tightly. (Salt and pepper before wrapping fish.) Place on redwood shingle and bake at 350Β° for 1/2 hour.
Then remove fish from oven.
Throw away and eat shingle. Serves all.
