Caramel Corn
Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 qt. popped corn, 2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. white corn syrup, 2 sticks margarine and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Pop corn as usual.
Put in large pan in oven at 250° to keep warm.
In heavy pan, melt margarine.
Add sugar, corn syrup and salt.
Cook until temperature reaches 248° on candy thermometer. Add baking soda (this will foam).
Pour over popped corn in a thin stream and stir well.
Put corn back in oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes during that time.
Put on waxed paper to cool.
