Buttery Peanut Brittle
Buttery Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. light corn syrup, 1/2 c. water, 1 c. butter or oleo and 2 c. raw or roasted peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Combine sugar, syrup and water in 3-quart saucepan.
Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.
When syrup boils, blend in butter.
Stir frequently after mixture reaches 230°. Add nuts when temperature reaches 280° and stir constantly until temperature reaches 305°. Remove from heat.
Quickly stir in soda.
Pour onto 2 cookie sheets or 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2-inch pans.
Loosen from pans as soon as possible.
Break in pieces.
