Butterscotch Pie
Butterscotch Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 1/4 c. karo syrup, 4 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Scald 1 3/4 cups milk with Karo in top of double boiler over boiling water.
Blend cornstarch and remaining 1/4 cup milk in small bowl.
Mix in sugar and salt.
Add egg yolks and beat until well blended.
Add quickly, all at once, to scalded milk and stir constantly until thickened.
Cover and cook 5 to 7 minutes longer. Remove from heat; add vanilla.
Pour into baked pie crust. Cover with meringue and bake in 400Β° oven for 8 to 10 minutes until brown.
