Butterscotch Cream Pie
Butterscotch Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. water, 1 2/3 c. milk, 1 c. brown sugar, packed and 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix sugar, flour and salt in saucepan. Gradually stir in water and milk. Add butter.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and boils.
Boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat. Stir at least half of hot mixture into eggs slowly, then blend with rest of mixture in saucepan.
Boil 1 minute more, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
