Buttermilk Biscuits
Buttermilk Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking powder and 1/3 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda together. Cut in shortening. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and pour in buttermilk. With a fork, stir lightly until all particles are moist.
Pour onto floured pastry board and work in flour until dough isn't sticky. Pat or roll out dough and cut with biscuit cutter.
Place in a greased pan and bake at 450Β° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush with melted butter.
It makes a crisp, flaky biscuit.
Makes about 15 biscuits.
