Broccoli Onion Casserole
Broccoli Onion Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10 oz.) frozen cut broccoli, 3 medium fresh onions, cut in wedges, 4 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook and drain broccoli; set aside.
Cook onion in boiling salted water 10 minutes or until tender.
Set aside to drain. Melt 2 tablespoons butter; add flour, salt and pepper.
Add milk. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
Continue stirring and cook 2 more minutes.
Add cream cheese and stir until melted.
Stir in broccoli and onion.
When combined, turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Top with American cheese.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter and toss with bread crumbs and sprinkle over casserole.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
