Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. milk, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 3 slices bread, 2 eggs and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Scald milk and butter in top of double boiler over boiling water.
Cut bread into 1/2-inch cubes.
Add to milk.
Cover and remove from heat.
Beat eggs until frothy.
Add sugar and salt. Stir hot milk and bread into egg mixture.
Add nutmeg, vanilla and raisins, mixing well.
Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole or baking dish.
Place in pan of hot water.
Bake at 350Β° about 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Makes 6 servings.
