Boiled Shrimp a La Bob
Boiled Shrimp A La Bob is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. fresh medium shrimp, 1 medium onion, 6 to 8 cloves garlic, 2 stalks celery and 1 lemon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Peel and devein shrimp.
In a pot which holds at least 6 quarts water, put on to boil.
Add salt, cut up onion, garlic and celery and add to water.
Cut lemon in quarters; squeeze in water and add.
Add bay leaf, seasoning bag and cayenne pepper (this is to taste, depending how spicy you want shrimp).
Bring to a boil and boil 3 to 5 minutes.
Add shrimp; time exactly 3 minutes, then turn fire off.
Let shrimp soak for 20 minutes.
Drain and either eat hot or refrigerate.
