Drain berries.

Reserve 1 cup syrup (add water to make one cup, if needed).

Combine reserved syrup with cornstarch and lemon juice.

Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Stir in blueberries.

Set aside.

Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, allspice and salt.

Cut in butter or margarine with pastry blender.

Press 2/3 of mixture into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 400Β° for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

Cool in pan.

Combine confectioners sugar and milk; drizzle over top. Cut into bars.

Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
