Biscuits
Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 to 4 tbsp. shortening and 3/4 c. water (with bottom of milk), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift the flour with baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add water and milk all at once and mix just until dough follows fork around bowl.
Preheat oven to 450Β°.
Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead gently 1/2 minute.
Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter, glass or cup.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes, just until golden brown on top.
