Preheat oven to 450Β°. Grease cookie sheet or baking pan. Combine dry ingredients, sift together. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender. Stir in milk with fork until mixture forms a soft lightly 10-12 strokes. Pat out to about 1/2 inch thickness,
cut with biscuit cutter. Place on prepared pan, brush tops with melted butter or grease. Bake 10 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown. Do not overbake. Makes 10-12 biscuits.
