Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. round steak, 1/2 to 1 stick margarine, salt and pepper, 2 cans consomme or bouillon and 1 to 1 1/2 cans water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Trim all the fat off the round steak.
Cut in squares; put in paper bag with flour.
Shake to coat well.
Brown beef in pan with 1/2 to 1 stick margarine.
Work with spatula until well browned. Salt and pepper meat.
Add the consomme or bouillon and the water. Cover tightly in slow cooker; simmer until tender (bubbly boil about 1 hour).
