Beef Salpicon Western-Style
Beef Salpicon Western-Style is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1/3 c. chopped onion, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet, brown meat and onion. Drain grease. Add tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir. Prepare mashed potatoes with water, margarine and milk; mix. Put meat mixture in baking dish. Spread corn evenly over meat.
Spread green chiles over corn. Spread mashed potatoes over chiles.
Sprinkle cheese over the potatoes.
Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is melted.
Cool for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle chopped tomato on top.
