Slowly add warm milk, beating constantly. Pour into 1-quart saucepan.

Add gelatin and ice cream while custard is hot. Cool until slightly thickened.

Add vanilla.

Fold in whipped cream.

Pour into a 1-quart mold.

Chill until set.
