Banana Pudding
Banana Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/8 tsp. salt, 4 or 5 eggs and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat the milk, sugar and salt in a double boiler.
Beat the egg yolks slightly, and slowly add some of the heated milk.
Pour back into the double boiler, and stir constantly until the custard coats the spoon.
Remove at once from the fire.
Place the pan in a bowl of cold water, and stir the custard occasionally as it cools.
Add the vanilla.
Grease a baking dish, layer cookies and bananas.
Pour custard over each layer.
