Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. mashed ripe bananas and 1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Cream together the shortening and sugar in a large bowl.
Add eggs.
Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda.
Stir dry ingredients into shortening and sugar.
Mix well.
Add mashed bananas and blend well.
Add nuts, stirring gently.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until brown (do not overbake).
Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Makes 1 loaf.
