Banana Date Nut Bars
Banana Date Nut Bars is an easy dinner. Made with 1 small ripe banana (1/3 c.), mashed, 1 box sweet 'n low brand banana cake mix, 3/4 c. water, 1/2 c. chopped dates (16 dates) and 1/4 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mash small banana in mixing bowl.
Add cake mix and 1/4 cup water.
Mix 3 minutes.
Add balance of water and mix 1 minute. Pour batter into lightly greased 10-inch square baking pan (one 8-inch square and one 8 x 4-inch pan can be used instead). Sprinkle batter with 1/2 cup chopped dates and 1/4 cup chopped pecans.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes or until done.
Cut bars in pan.
Makes 2 dozen bars, 2 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch, 58 calories per bar.
