Banana Cake
Banana Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 bananas, mashed, 1 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Cream Crisco and add sugar in separate bowl.
Cream until very light; beat in, one at a time, 2 eggs.
Add vanilla and sour cream.
Mix, then add flour mixture in 3 parts, alternating with thirds of the banana mixture.
Stir batter after each addition until smooth. Bake in greased tube pan 45 to 50 minutes or 2 (8-inch) round pans for 25 minutes, or sheet cake pan for 45 to 50 minutes at 350Β°. Cool 1/2 hour or so before removing cake.
