Use large frying pan.
Trim fat from pork chops.
Brown chops in small amount of fat.
Season with salt and pepper.
Remove chops from pan.
Cook celery and onion in butter until tender but not brown.
Add water, soup mix and sage.
Simmer 6 minutes.
Add bread cubes; stir until moistened.
Turn into 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Top with browned chops.
Cover and bake in 350Β° oven for 45 minutes.
