Baked Lima Beans
Baked Lima Beans is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 lb. bag seaside 4 hook dried lima beans, 1 tbsp. salt, 2 1/2 c. water, cold water and 1 tsp. salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Soak beans and 1 tablespoon salt in 2 1/2 cups water in an 8-quart pan overnight.
Cook beans next day for about 2 hours. Cover with cold water.
Add 1 teaspoon salt and pepper and dried onions.
Put in pan.
Bake at 350Β° for about 2 hours.
Mix ketchup, Karo, brown sugar and mustard.
Pour this over beans when baking. Put pork chops and strips of bacon on top.
If you want you can use hot sauce with mixture.
