Baked Country Ham
Baked Country Ham is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with country ham, qt. water and c. molasses (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Soak ham for 24 hours in cold water.
Take out of water and place in roaster pan.
Mix 2 quarts of water and 1 cup of molasses together and pour over ham.
Place 2 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil over ham and place lid on roaster.
Preheat oven to 500°. Put ham in oven and time for 30 minutes.
Turn oven off after 30 minutes and wait 3 hours and turn oven back on and let it reach 500° again and time for 30 minutes.
Then turn oven off and leave ham in overnight, 2:00 PM is a good time to start this recipe.
Do not open oven after you start!
