Baked Beans
Baked Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. dried navy beans, 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed, 1/2 c. chili sauce or ketchup, 1/2 c. molasses and 1 onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Soak beans overnight.
Drain, re-cover with water and bring to boil.
Simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Drain bean juice and reserve 1 to 2 cups.
Add remaining ingredients to beans and mix.
Pour mixture into a bean pot or large casserole bowl.
Cover and bake at 300Β° for 5 to 7 hours.
If liquid evaporates below level of beans, add beer or reserved bean juice.
Remove cover the last 45 minutes.
