Baked Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. dried beans, 1/4 c. chopped onions, 2 tbsp. dark molasses, 2 or 3 tbsp. catsup and 1 tbsp. dry mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cover beans with water and bring to a boil.

Simmer slowly for 1/2 hour or more until tender.

Preheat oven to 250Β°.

Drain the beans, reserve the cooking water and add onions, molasses, catsup, dry mustard, salt, bean water or beer, vinegar, curry powder and Worcestershire sauce.

Place in a greased casserole.

Decorate with sliced salt pork.

Bake covered for 6 to 9 hours.

If they become dry, add well seasoned stock or reserved bean water.

Uncover for the last hour of cooking.
