Bacon and Cheese Cornbread

Preheat and grease a medium cast-iron skillet.
Heat corn meal and milk over medium heat until thick and dry.
Stir frequently for 3 minutes, then spoon into mixing bowl.
Add butter and eggs and beat until smooth.
Stir in salt, baking powder, cheese and bacon.
Pour into preheated cast-iron skillet (or baking pan). Bake at 325Β° for 35 minutes or until cooked through.
Serves 4.
